The other Day
i received a Christmas card, and I was thinking of its sayings. I was given
joy, happiness in these celebration times and mentioned a Christmas Spirit. I
don’t have doubt about the sincerity of who sent me the card, but I was
questioning me if people in fact know what is Christmas. There wasn’t any
mention of Jesus Christ as if he was somebody not to be mentioned because no
one knows who will receive the card so people must avoid chocking each other. Maybe
this wasn’t the case. Anyway, the questioning was made
Am I
celebrating Christmas only because people do it? Do I want to receive the
present, or to have a dinner, the lights, the Christmas tree, or donating some
food and toys for the poor, but I really don’t care with the one who was born?
Let’s
reflec on it. Let’s think of our concepts. And if we draw the conclusion that
we must come back to the original center of this celebration, but we feel
unworthy to welcome him and living it, remember that he was born in a small,
poor and simple place, and that it is in our poverty, simplicity and littleness
that he wishes to be born.
A music to help us to relfect on...
