Last week i saw the movie Titanic on TV with Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. I thought impressive the fact that when watching it again I could reanalyze it with my mentality of today. Many of the things i liked before I dislike now. Some I couldn't realise by the launching of the movie (I watched many times, lol), now I did and found very positive. I remember the young Rose lead herself to the stern of the ship, and Jack was observing. When he saw she was trying to throw herself he tried to persuade her to change her mind. She tried to ignore the guy and ordered him to leave her alone when he replied: "I can't. I'm already involved.
What a brave attitude! He could have gone away, since she was free to make her choices even they were to harm her. But he refused himself cause he would be accomplice of a great mistake in case he left.
Thinking more profoundly it can be seen that in our country (Brazil) laws and projects are created that are against the dignity of human being. Loads. Of varios types, with the most varied justifications due to the most varied interests from the most varied groups. These projects ans laws are imposed, and few things are done (well, by the time the portuguese version of this post was published a month ago, few things were done, but now, even in a disorganized way, people are protesting against them) in a crafty way to prevent this. Well, maybe changes arising in a subtle or deliberate way to the opposers of these plans are like the request of the young Rose (even she didn't threat Jack) saying, "go away". Would our answer also be "We can't. We're already involved"?
